Osa Peninsula

The Osa Peninsula occupies the southwestern edge of Costa Rica's Pacific coast, bordered by Coronado Bay to the north and the Golfo Dulce to the south. At approximately 1,740 square kilometers, it is the second largest peninsula in the country and one of the most ecologically significant landmasses in the Western Hemisphere. What defines the Osa is not any single feature but the density and integrity of what remains: rainforest, coastal wetlands, mountainous woodland, and marine habitat existing largely as they have for millennia.
